The Dining Hall
The Dining Hall in the heart of the building is Højhuset's informal eatery. Daily, the Dining Hall is open by reservation.
The kitchen prepares food that playfully hints at the old folk high school history and the simple, well-prepared rustic meal. As far as possible, the ingredients are always Danish and preferably local, and the kitchen has the silver label in ecology.
Communal dining
Every Monday and Wednesday, there is a communal dining experience at the long red tables in the dining hall. Monday's dish is green, while Wednesday's is green with meat. The menu is announced on Facebook and Instagram the week before.
Dinner starts at 18:00, and the delicious organic meal of the day is shared from platters and bowls at the tables. You might have to ask your neighbour to give you the bread and pass the salad. Drinks are purchased at the bar before dinner. The communal meal always begins with a folk high school songbook song in the best authentic folk school spirit.
If you want to extend your evening, you can take a look at Højhuset's event calendar. There will typically be various cultural offers and events either before or after the communal dinner that you can sign up for.
